Your TIME is your most valuable resource. Yet many regularly squander it. Throw it away in mindless pursuits that bring little pleasure or satisfaction. Resolve TODAY to align your time with your intentions. How do you do that? Every morning before you get out of bed, identify the most important thing you want to accomplish that day. The most important thing TO YOU. Do it first, before other people and obligations intrude.

  • Do it NOW! If an activity takes less than 20 minutes, complete it right then and there. It'll be off your desk and out of your mind.
     

  • FINISH what you start. Research shows that the simple act of finishing an activity releases processing power in your brain. Because until something is finished, it lurks in your mind. 
    When finished, the project doesn't end up as clutter on your desk or dining room table.

  • Do ONE thing at a time. Yes, you multi-task. Most of us multi-task in multiple ways. Yet managing two mental tasks at the same time reduces the brainpower you have available for either task. The clutter in your mind and on your desk shows it.
